Rakesh Gehlot who hails from Sojat Rajasthan a family of farming, his family owns oldest or earliest Henna plantations from the region, as a child growing amidst the mehndi plants he could smell and identify henna quality from a distance, after his engineering degree he landed a job in IT city Bangalore, he was shocked to see Black Henna which is harsh chemical containing PPD being sold in the name of Natural Henna was causing huge damage to the trust people entrusted in natural Henna.
Rakesh met Shantakumar Harlapur a M.B.A graduate who was heading a sales team in a startup, during a casual talk one evening this idea of bringing in natural henna to consumers in its finest form excited both of them, that's how the idea of FIRST PLANT was born, an idea to introduce finest henna directly from the oldest plantations rather known as FIRST PLANTATIONS of Sojat, a city better known as Mehndi capital of the world.
